KILLING TWO BIRDS WITH ONE STONE

(STYLESPIRATION X MONOCHROME)

Genevive Nnaji is someone I adore her style. This casual look of hers caught my eyes when browsing the internet and I decided to recreate the look.

This is a more laid-back kind of look.

CLOSET ESSENTIALS FOR YOUR EVERYDAY WARDROBE

We ladies always find a hard time with choices when it comes to our closet and what we want to wear. (#girlsproblem).

I open my closet and all my eyes keeps telling me is that you have nothing to wear. Go shopping. Meanwhile there are no longer spaces in said closet.

I’m here to bring you few essentials that one needs even if you decide to donate your clothes to your cousin’s cousin (thank you tuface).

Below are the essentials. Hope you enjoyed reading these. See you on the next post J

TRANSITION FROM WINTER TO SUMMER

Okay so I do not know about you guys but mehn, I am tired of this cold.

I have no idea what kind of bipolar weather we are experiencing these days especially in Maryland.

You look at other cities and see the cherry blossom already blossoming lol and then you wonder,

What in the hell is happening. Today it gets to 70 degrees, tomorrow its 39 degrees..

Make up your mind SOONNNNNN….

So anyways, since I can’t wait for summer anymore, I decided to create an outfit that is transitional.

This is an inspirational outfit ideas of how you can dress an outfit from winter to summer.

ENJOY!!!!

WINTER OUTFIT

This is a typical outfit that I would wear to somewhere formal or even to church during the cold days.

SUNDAY OUTFIT OF THE DAY: THE FUR LIFE
By Joan.

Whazzappppppp *Martin's voice* lol... How una dey? Sunday was a little bit chilly for us so i decided to obey small rule and dress according to the weather as per say I watch weather channel before church... Every Sunday before church, I always look for what I will wear. (problem of having too many choices and yet we still complain). So I decided to go simple with some umphhhh... which is where this fur comes in. Can you guys believe where I got it from?

Wait for it... wait, wait.... The THRIFTSTORE.. Yep.

People see the thriftstore as one kind of forbidden place and so if you shop there, then its either you poor or you do not make enough in whatever job you do. But I'm sorry if ever in your life you shopped at any bend-down-select in Nigeria and you are now forming for us then my God will judge you.

Anyways back to my FUR, I love the color and also love the fact that it's not long. This is looking like its going to be a staple for me this fall/winter season.

Enjoy the pictures:)

NIGERIAN TREND AM LOVING: IRO AND BUBA

If anyone knows me too well, then you would know that am not a fan of the normal iro and buba which usually makes you look 10x older than one actually is
Recently, people have actually brought some twist into styling it.
And its actually making me consider getting a bunch of them made since person don dey old na.
I wouldn't be expected to step out on my traditional wedding day looking all trousered (yea new word) up.
First it was the Oleku style. The inventor being from the Tiwa Savage's song (I fit kolo for that babe style I swear). If you don't know about the Oleku style, its where the buba is tied very short and the top and bottom is of different fabric.

And so after that, the current one that seems to be taking over the naija scene came about.
Which is the longer version of Oleku but mainly sewn with silk fabrics or lace and is usually styled by tying it by the side or the front.
This style has worn my heart over mehn... I can't get over it. Naija people una too get talent jare. See pictures below

I do not own any of the pictures used on this post. (All gotten from Google images). Let me know what nigerian or country's trend you loving below. See you on the next post. ADIOS....
